Delicious Green Curry Paste

Goan Green Masala is a popular masala paste in Goan homes, and is versatile in its use, blending well with chicken, pork, red meats or even vegetables. This spice paste combines with onion and tomato paste resulting in a tangy, green mouth-watering preparation. It doubles up as a handy solution when one needs to improvise with whatever one has in the fridge. Our recipe uses carefully chosen high quality spices which are mixed together professionally to create a wonderful paste blend which can be used to create a range of dishes, depending on what one is in the mood to eat. GOAN FLAVOURZ GREEN MASALA

ORIGINAL RECIPE

INGREDIENTS NEEDED:
- One pack – Goan Flavourz Green Masala Gravy Paste.
- 800 gms meat: Chicken//Mutton/Beef/Lamb (cut in desired size pieces), wash and drain. Apply salt to meat and set aside for at least 15 minutes. Pork may also be used. If pork is used, two tablespoons of vinegar may be added with the salt.
- Partially boil Mutton/Beef/Lamb in water to tenderise.
- Two medium-sized onions, chopped.
- Two medium-sized tomatoes, chopped.
- Chopped onions and tomatoes to be ground to a fine paste.
- Three medium-sized potatoes, cubed.
- Chopped fresh coriander leaves (for garnish).
- Cooking oil and salt, as required.


PREPARE IN 3 EASY STEPS
1. Heat oil and stir fry the marinated meat thoroughly on a medium flame.
2. Add onion and tomato paste slowly and around 250 ml of water, then add cubed potatoes and salt and continue to cook.
3. Cover and simmer on a low flame, stirring occasionally until meat is cooked and the gravy turns thick. Taste and add salt, if needed. Garnish with coriander leaves. Serve hot.

IDEAS
Vinegar may be added to enhance taste, based on personal preference. To increase pungency, when cooking add slit green chillies; to decrease, add more tomato paste.
